At last you can purchase quantities of KAPOK fiber to make your own non-toxic dream products. Mattresses, pillows, cushions, doonas, toys.
200gm. pack of Grade 2 fiber = $18.00 freight incl. within Australia
Grade 2 fiber still has debris and the occasional seed in it. Grade 2 requires further cleaning by picking over it before using it for loosely packed items such as pillows. Slight cleaning is sufficent for tightly packed items such as bolsters.
Packs that we call 1 or 2kg are weighed so as to come out to a total weight including packing just under that freight break. Ie: 1kg will in fact be appx. 970g of luscious kapok fibre & 2kg will be appx. 1950g of luscious kapok fibre etc. 200gm is 200gm of fiber. This way we don’t tip over the weight scales in the post office and you pay for the lower freight break.

A single mattress takes about 6kg. And a standard head pillow takes about 500-700gm depending on your pillow height preference.
Bale prices on application. 3kg is the largest pack I can send through Australia Post. You are welcome to nominate your own carrier.
Slight compaction will occur over time but Kapok will ‘Fluff up’ by being placed in direct sunlight. Fortnightly is preferable but not critical.
