DELTABLASTUS Permicus- Composed 5 broad , cross ribbed umbrulcra which are deeply grooved at the centre and the V shaped plates that partly enclosed them.

Location: Timor, Indonesia
From the Basleo faultline Sonnebait in the Permain era - 300 MYO. Blastoids were the first sea animal and used to anchor themselves to the sea bed by means of a zig zag stem. The top resembled a flower which opened in a petal like fashion as it fed on passing algae. It is this 'flower like' section that has been preserved.
These fossils vary in size from 1cm up to 2cm and most are in excellent condition.
