Using its inherant strengths East Timor is rebuilding itself. Weaving for pride and profit is one of the many resources utilised.

This  bag has been handwoven on a simple backstrap loom using commercial thread in the colors of East Timor's flag and a float weave technique to create this star motif in its central band with TIMOR in black and white writing. The bag has an overflap. The handle is a strip of IKAT in gold and black cotton that has been roughly sealed on its edges.
